Ackerman Family Vineyards Winemaker Dinner hosted by City Winery
Since Bob and Lauren Ackerman's very first days in Coombsville, they have been inspired by legendary Napa Valley names and meaningful winemaking. Ackerman Family Vineyards identifies with wines that are rooted in tradition, but made in the spirit of today. From the beginning, all of our actions in the vineyard have been purposeful. We began sustainable farming in 2004, and by 2009 we earned our California Certified Organic Farm (CCOF) label. To us, earning our CCOF designate is a testament to our patience, time and enthusiasm. Tucked into the caldera known as Mount George, the vineyard is situated in an east-west direction resulting in a cooler, more temperate climate. Organic farming has created a well-rooted vineyard. Our wines—a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with softer edges and lower alcohol levels—are contemporary expressions that reflect our evolving vineyard valley. There’s a lot of diligence in each glass of Ackerman. Our winemaking team produces a limited amount (less than 500 cases) of Cabernet Sauvignon each year. Our wines will enchant you with a deep, rich berry flavors and silky tannins. Understated elegance echo Bordeaux qualities, as do distinctive lower alcohol levels, lighter weights and less viscous structure.

Thanks your for your interest in our Release Party.
We were set to hold this event at the Victorian that Lauren Ackerman has been remodeling over the last four years. We were just about done when the earthquake put a big wrench in our plans. There has been some significant damage to the house and are forced to put off the Release Party till the spring. We will be sure to let you know when we have a date schedule and hope you will be able to join us.
In the meantime, our 2010 Cabernet will be released soon and we will be happy to have you visit for a Tour and Tasting if you are interested!
