PNV is the most anticipated wine trade event of the year. Now in its twelfth year, this barrel auction provides an opportunity for Napa Valley vintners to present uniquely crafted lots highlighting one-of-a-kind wines from special varietals, blends, techniques, vineyards or vineyard blocks. Not available anywhere else, these wines draw key trade from all over the world to Napa Valley.
Longtime friends and collaborators for more than 13 years, vineyard manager Mark Neal, of Jack Neal and Son, and Ackerman Family Vineyards owners Bob and Lauren Ackerman have brought their collective talents together to produce a one-of-a-kind Napa Valley "Super Tuscan" blend that truly speaks to the expertise of the partners in producing fine wines. Combining 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Ackerman's premier nine-acre hillside vineyard in the cooler Coombsville area with 60% Sangiovese fruit from one of the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley, this exclusive blend is separately aged for 10 months in new French oak before being blended together in the puncheon for approximately eight additional months. Smooth, full-bodied and complex flavors of berry, plum and spice make this a truly exceptional lot.
